Minimum wage in Vietnam
Vietnam sets its minimum wage by Government decree, in four regions with different rates. Rates are stated per month and per hour.

Who sets it
The Government sets the regional minimum wages by decree, after advice from the National Wage Council, which has representatives of Government, employers and the trade union.
How it changes
The Government has raised the rates by new decree, usually at the start of a year.
Who is covered, and who is treated differently
- Each commune, ward or area is placed in one of four regions by a list attached to the decree.
- Rates are stated per month and per hour.
What to watch for
- The figure shown is for Region I, the highest. Find the region for the place where the work is done.
