Equity and Trusts: A Living Map

Equity developed to give relief where law was inadequate and to enforce conscience. Its remedies (injunctions, specific performance) are discretionary. A trust separates legal title, held by a trustee, from the benefit, held by beneficiaries, and needs intention, property and identifiable beneficiaries. Trustees owe strict duties, and equitable doctrines protect trust and fairness. Press Play to watch the map build, click an idea for its definition and the usual trap, or trace a short case.
