An AI workflow is a designed sequence in which a language model, rules and a person each do what they are best at. It starts with fit: which tasks suit a model. Prompts are specifications that can be tested; retrieval gives the model the right passages; checkpoints place a person where the risk is. Evaluation with test sets (precision and recall) shows whether it works, risk and security rules govern its use, and deployment needs monitoring and accountability.
