Source: Eurostat, Monthly minimum wages, bi-annual data (earn_mw_cur). Data for 2026. What it counts, how to cite it and the data

At a glance

  • 30 countries or territories have a figure.
  • The highest is Luxembourg at 2,771 (2026) and the lowest is Ukraine at 169 (2026).
  • The middle value (the median) is 1,022.

What it counts

The gross monthly statutory minimum wage in euro, as set by national law or agreement, at the latest date Eurostat reports. Countries with no national statutory minimum wage are not shown, and the United States figure is the federal minimum.

What it leaves out, and how far to trust a comparison

Euro amounts do not show what a wage buys: prices, taxes and hours of work differ a great deal. Eurostat also publishes the figures in purchasing power standards, which adjust for prices. Some countries set the wage per hour or per week and Eurostat converts it.
