One Landing Point, Every Jurisdiction
Jurisdictions
Most of this site’s content teaches national, generally-applicable doctrine. This page is the one place jurisdiction-specific material — where one state or country genuinely does it differently — is gathered in full, including what’s planned next.
Available Now — US State Bar Distinctions
Part of the Bar Exam Codex. Most US jurisdictions use the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) as-is, fully covered by the Codex’s core MBE subjects. These four states each test something genuinely different beyond that national baseline.
California — Community Property
California's signature written-portion distinction, tested nowhere on the national MBE. Day two (the MBE itself) is identical to the UBE MBE — no separate content needed there.
Florida — Homestead Law
Florida's signature written-portion distinction — forced-sale protection, devise restrictions, and spousal joinder — with no MBE equivalent. Florida's MBE is Part B of its own exam, identical to the UBE MBE.
Louisiana — Forced Heirship
Louisiana doesn't use the UBE at all — no MBE, MEE, or MPT. Its own civil-law exam has no common-law equivalent for forced heirship, the guaranteed minimum inheritance share some descendants can't be freely written out of. This covers that flagship doctrine, not the full 9-subject exam.
Virginia — Civil Procedure
Virginia writes its own essay exam on Virginia law, weighted 60% of the total score — more than the MBE. Virginia Civil Procedure is its single most heavily tested subject, with its own vocabulary (the nonsuit, the demurrer, the plea in bar) genuinely different from the federal rules.
Coming Next — International Jurisdictions
Each planned as its own hand-written, verified question set and its own real-time timed exam simulator — built one jurisdiction at a time, the same deliberate way the US content was, never generated in bulk.
