Divorces in the year compared with marriages in the same year; worked out by us from the OECD crude divorce and marriage rates. This is not the share of marriages that end in divorce.
In 1985 there were 0.4 divorces per 1,000 people in Mexico. In 2022 the rate was 1.3, which is higher.

This line can jump in 2020 and 2021, when many weddings were postponed and the number of marriages fell sharply, even if divorces did not change much. It is a comparison of two yearly totals, not a forecast for any couple.
