Capstone
Capstone: diagnose and fix an invented firm’s cash problem
Kestrel & Marsh is an invented firm of two partners, two associates, a paralegal and an office manager. It is busy, its partners are proud of a record year of billing, and its overdraft has doubled. One of the partners has asked you, as an adviser, to find out what is going on and to propose a plan. You will use what you have learnt: the leaks, lock-up, the cash forecast, collection, the budget and measures, drawings and reserves, and the controls. As before, the figures are invented, and you should say where an accountant’s advice would be needed.
