Capstone
Capstone: a first year at the notarial office of Marisol Vance
Elena Marchetti has just been appointed to the notarial office of Marisol Vance, an invented small-town office in an invented country with a civil-law system, after the retirement of the previous notary. She trained for five years, passed the state examination and takes over the office’s clients, two clerks and an archive of sixty years of deeds. The office also handles certified copies, powers of attorney and documents for use abroad. In her first year she will meet six situations. At each step, decide what Elena should do and why, using what you have learnt in the seven modules, and then write a one-page plan for her second year. The people, places and procedures are invented and general, not those of any one country.
Module 1 of this course is free, and this is not it. Unlock the whole course below, or go back to the course page.
