Capstone
Capstone: Evaluate a tool
Put the course to work. You will test a simulated contract-review tool on a batch of Ceolwin contracts, read the result with its margins, decide whether the evidence supports go, no-go or more testing, and write the memo for the board.
Ceolwin is thinking of using a contract-review tool to flag high-risk clauses across a batch of 600 contracts. The board wants a go or no-go. The risk team has set a target in advance: the tool must find at least 85% of the real problems. Hand-checking a contract takes about 6 minutes, so you cannot check all 600. Choose your sample size, draw it, and decide.
Step 1. Draw a sample
Ceolwin, its contracts and the tool are invented for practice. Nothing here is legal advice.
This course teaches how to test and supervise tools, using invented documents, fictional parties and made-up tool outputs. No real tool is run, and nothing here is legal advice. Never paste a real client’s confidential material into a public tool.
